What is Aquaponics?

Aquaponics farming involves growing fish and plants together in a balanced, mutually supportive system. The cycle starts with feeding the fish, whose waste releases ammonia into the water. Beneficial bacteria then transform this ammonia into nitrates, which provide essential nutrients for the plants. As the plants absorb these nutrients, they naturally filter and clean the water, returning it to the fish. This closed-loop process maximizes resource efficiency, reduces waste, and creates a sustainable, environmentally friendly approach to farming.
