Aquaponics Intensive
6-Week Aquaponics Intensive
An integral part of Oko Farms' mission is to increase the number of individuals with the knowledge and skills to practice aquaponics in urban communities around the world. Oko Farms provides a comprehensive education in aquaponics that combines formal lectures + hands-on training in all aspects of operating a sustainable, diversified aquaponics farm or garden.
This is a great program for educators, community gardeners, indoor and backyard growers.
PROGRAM GOALS:
Oko Farms strives to ensure that participants exit our program with a strong foundation in Aquaponics system operation, design and build. There is a strong emphasis on aquaponics as a natural ecosystem and on permaculture applications. Participants will leave with the skills to develop and maintain sustainable aquaponics operations of various sizes along with the capacity to engage the public on the diverse topics relating to aquaponics, fish welfare and ecosystem sustainability.
